BODY BEAST - P90X2 HYBRID: DAY 11 & 12
Day 11 of my hybrid and I did Plyocide from P90X2. I noticed a couple of things when doing this workout. First, my cardio conditioning is not what it used to be. My numbers were down 4-5 reps on many of the exercises and secondly, my balance was off. I was not surprised. I expected this after 90 days of a pure muscle building program like the Beast. Body Beast incorporates minimal cardio and secondary/stabilzer muscle engagement. I was challenged by Plyocide in a very good way. P90X2 focuses on athletic performance (stabilizers, secondary muscles, balance, agility, endurance). Plyocide is a perfect example of this.

Day 12 and I hit Beast "Back/Bis". I love this workout. It hammers your back and biceps like you would not believe. You've just got to do it and see for yourself! The cool thing is that both my weights and reps have increased by incorporating X2 workouts! I'm actually getting stronger. My thought is that it must be from re-activating my stabilizers and secondary muscles. This is an awesome hybrid program.
