5 SIMPLE WAYS TO BOOST YOUR METABOLISM AND DROP FAT FOR GOOD!

1. B VITAMINS: These are crucial for metabolism of carbs, proteins and fats. A good vitamin B-complex (B6, B12, Folate, Niacin and Thiamin) is also very important for energy production.

2. START YOUR DAY WITH WATER AND A HEALTHY BREAKFAST: Drink 17 ounces of water right after waking up. Eat a healthy breakfast including any of the following: whole grains, steel cut oats, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, lean protein. A healthy and balanced breakfast increases the metabolism by 10% or more.

3.  STOP SEVERE CALORIC RESTRICTION AND DIETING: Food deprivation only slows your metabolism down. Based on your daily activity level, you need to fuel your body correctly. Food stimulates energy metabolism. Restricting calories triggers "starvation mode". Your body thinks that no food is available and will conserve stores of carbohydrates and fat while slowing down your metabolic rate. Keep your metabolism supercharged and burn fat all day long by eating regular healthy meals and snacks. This will provide you with a constant supply of healthy fuel.

4. INCORPORATE HEALTHY SNACKS: Eat small, healthy snacks during the day. This will prevent overeating syndrome. Mix and match a healthy carb with a lean protein like hummus, baby carrots, celery, peanut or almond butter, almonds, cheese stick, apple, pear, banana, etc.

5. EXERCISE EFFICIENTLY: Fight metabolic slowdown with strength or resistance training. A perfect example is P90X. Resistance training reduces body fight, increases lean muscle mass while strengthening bones and ligaments. Forget your steady state cardio. Instead, be efficient by incorporating high intensity interval training. A perfect example is Insanity. Interval training teaches your body to utilize oxygen more efficiently. Interval training supercharges your metabolism and will even keep it accelerated for up to 12-24 hours after you stop training. You will burn more calories and fat. You will significantly increase your level of fitness and metabolic rate!
