- Non-stop and relentless plyometrics (that's jump training for those who may be confused).
- Lactic acid build up to the point of complete muscle failure within the first 5 minutes.
- Shaun T. literally is a drill sergeant in this workout.
- Incorporation of resistance bands during plyometric activity (seriously difficult, actually crazy).
- Head games that you play with yourself. Example: "I did Insanity for God's sake, what's wrong with me"?
- Did I mention lactic acid build up within the first 5 minutes... umm, yep! Seriously, your quads will be fried during the warm-up and you've only just begun.
- The sequencing of jump squats and plyo push-ups is just BRUTAL.
The Asylum truly is an advanced graduate program. It will get you in the best shape of your life. If you push yourself beyond what you think you are capable of and follow the nutrition guide, you will get ripped. It works.
